IMMIGRATION

The United States continues to be an attractive country to visit and live in. Its laws and policies governing immigration and deportation of immigrants are both developed and complex. Our immigration law practice covers wide aspects of immigration and nationality law.  We will assist you navigate through the complexities.

REAL ESTATE

Buying a property can be exciting and taxing at the same time. We provide professional legal assistance to sellers or buyers of  residential properties.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENTS

Wills are legal documents wherein deceased persons are able to direct how and to whom their properties are to be distributed. If a person dies without a Will, his or her properties will be distributed according to the rules of succession, that is, the law pre-determines the distribution of the estate's assets. For those who wish to remain in control of the distribution of their properties when they die, we can help in drafting and executing Wills that are tailored to ones' respective desires and wishes.

PROBATE AND ADMINISTRATION

Probate is the appropriate procedure where a deceased person dies with a Will. It is the process of proving that the Will is valid. If successful, the executor(s) (usually named in the Will) will be appointed and empowered to deal with the estate's assets and distribute them in accordance with the Will. If a person dies without a Will, an Administration proceedings should be filed. We provide representation in either Probate or Administration processes.

FAMILY LAW

Ending a person's marriage can be emotinal, to say the least. Divorce is that final step which legally ends one's marriage. We provide professional assistance for uncontested divorce.

However our practice extends to other areas of the law, including real estate transactions, wills and probate, and family law.

History
David read law from Coventry University in England, completing his LLB in 2005. He then pursued his Master of Jurisprudence (focused on international criminal law) from Durham University, England. He had worked in Singapore for a number of years as a legal executive and a foreign law practitioner. Besides that, David interned for human rights organizations in London and Geneva, Switzerland, and volunteered in Namibia as a neutral court observer. 

Having spent a number of years studying, working and volunteering in different places around the world, David settled down in New York, in 2015. He partnered with a seasoned immigration attorney, Modesto L. Balahadia, before starting his own practice in August 2020.
